Carmelina Pangilinan Vivit's Obituary
Carmelina Pangilinan Vivit, 88, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, July 23, 2013. She was born in Umingan, Philippines on December 17,1924. She graduated from Escolar University where she received her degree and became a pharmacist. After coming to the United States in 1953, she worked in pharmacies for at least 20 years. She enjoyed cooking, crocheting, was a devout Catholic, and was dedicated to her family.
Carmelina is preceded in death by her beloved husband Beato Vivit and is survived by her sons Emmanuel and Leo, her grandchildren Zack, Nessy, Jaden, and Lauren, her sister-in-law Castora Vivit, and many other family members and friends.
Viewing will be on Sunday, August 4th from 12:00-5:00pm with rosary to follow at 6:30pm at Chapel of the Chimes Oakland. Funeral mass to be held August 5th at 11:00 a.m. at St. Lawrence O’Toole in Oakland with burial to follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery.
