Carl Steven Tucker
May 1, 1962 – December 13, 2014
Our most beloved Son, Brother, Uncle, Nephew, Cousin and Friend Carl Tucker passed away suddenly and unexpectedly but peacefully at home on Saturday Evening December 13, 2014. He was 52 years old. Carl was the proud and exuberant son of George and Joann Tucker, Grandson of Mary and Coy Tucker and Hynek and Josephine Haban, cherished Brother of Dani, Paul, and Kurt, loved Brother- in -Law of Steve Wright and Sister-in-Law of Laura Tucker, Loving Uncle to Michael, Thomas, Olivia, Alyssa and Kyle, and devoted Nephew, Cousin and friend to many. Most all that knew Ky said he was their best friend and a better friend you could not have – he really listened and heard and he was there for you. He was strong and joyous and he will be deeply missed by all of us. We will forever love and miss you Carl.
Carl was a blond, high energy youngster who grew into a good, decent, and very hardworking man. He loved his family and friends, his pets, the outdoors, and sports. He was a talented musician and loved music. Carl was a committed Christian believer and often professed his faith. We now commend him to the care of his Creator and ask all that knew and loved him to pray for his safe passage into God’s loving care.
Memorial Service will be held Saturday January 31, 2015 at Chapel of the Chimes, 4499 Piedmont Ave., Oakland, CA at 12:00 noon. Pastor Paul Holt will officiate. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Carl’s life. Reception will follow in the adjacent prayer cloister.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made in Carl’s name to: World Wildlife Fund, ASPCA, Pilgrim Lutheran Church, Oakland, or a charity of your choice.
