Cameron Miller Reedy's Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Cameron Miller Reedy the morning of January 4, 2015.
Cameron was born January 5, 1988 in Portland, Oregon and raised in Utah. He graduated from Judge Memorial High School in Salt lake City, Utah. Cameron received his bachelor’s degree from Santa Clara University in 2010 and chose to make northern California and specifically Oakland his adopted home.
Cameron recently joined the internet company POPSUGAR and had never been happier with his working environment, teammates and the opportunities the job presented. The family would like to thank POPSUGAR for announcing the creation of a new award at their upcoming annual meeting. The Cameron Miller Reedy award, which will recognize a person that has worked at POPSUGAR for less than 6 months but has demonstrated a large impact on the company.
Cameron was a tremendous son, brother and boyfriend. He had a unique collection of friends that he was fiercely devoted and loyal to. Some of Cameron’s happiest memories were of skiing the mountains of Utah with his beloved brother Keegan.
Over the last couple of years two very important beings came into Cameron’s life.
The first was his precious dog, Obie. To most people, Obie would be characterized as a mixed breed, however Cameron swore Obie was of some noble Egyptian lineage that guarded Kings. They were inseparable.
Obie , however was relegated to second place over a year ago when the love of his life, Anne Vander Ploeg, entered his life. Cameron’s and Anne’s love for each other was strong and apparent to all their family and friends. They loved to explore the bay area together and especially enjoyed discovering new restaurants, bars and coffee shops.
