Bruna D. Gasparro's Obituary
Bruna Dina Gasparro of Oakland, passed away on Tuesday, March 28, 2017. Beloved wife of Michelangelo Gasparro, Loving Mother to Mauro and his wife Jacqueline Gasparro. Devoted Grandmother of Christopher and Nicolas Gasparro. Dear Sister to the late Angela Risso of Oakalnd and Meri Liguri of Italy. Loving Aunt of Rob & Jill Kenney; Bill & Julie Kenney of the Bay Area and Luciana Fenudi of Italy.
Bruna was born in Genova Italy to Fiorentino & Carmelina Callegari. She graduated high school in Italy and later met and married her husband and had her son. She moved to California in 1968 to be near her sister Angela. She worked for the Oakland School district before she took an early retirement to care for her grandsons.
Bruna was 82 years young, she was a member of the Catholic Federation. She loved playing cards and Bocce ball with friends. She was an avid gardener and loved to cook for her family.
Everyone that met Bruna, loved her and her love and kindness will be missed by all!
Friends and Family are invited to attend all services. Visitation will be at Chapel of the Chimes, 4499 Piedmont Ave., Oakland, CA 94611 Monday, April 3, 2017, 3-7 pm with a Rosary service at 7 pm.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, April 4, 2017 at 10 am at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 4025 Martin Luther King Jr. Way, Oakland, CA 94609, Interment will follow at Saint Mary’s Cemetary, 4529 Howe Street, Oakland, CA 94611.
