Beverly Jean Summers' Obituary
Beverly Summers passed away in Oakland, CA on February 4, 2002 Beverly Summers born in Berkeley, CA She was a 2nd generation native of Berkeley. Beloved parents Louise and Russell Summers have preceded her in death. Her loving brother Robert Summers survives her. They both lived in Danville, California. She is also, survived by several loving cousins. Beverly was employed by Alta Bates Hospital in Berkeley as a Cardiology office manager for 25 years and after retiring worked part time for a friend at Au Panier D’OR in Oakland and later in Danville at By Candle Light at the Livery in Danville. While her brother was employed by Chevron, she so graciously assisted him in executing Chief of Protocol duties for Oakland under the direction of Mayor Lionel Wilson. She loved to travel, decorate and handcrafts. Friends are invited to call at the Chapel of the Chimes, 4499 Piedmont Avenue, Oakland on Sunday, February 10th from 1:00pm to 5:00pm and attend services at the Chapel of the Chimes on Monday, February 11th at 2:00pm.
