BEVERLY FAYE OGAN's Obituary
Beverly Faye Ogan, 95, was born January 23,1922 in Salt Lake City, Utah and passed away peacefully on March 27, 2017 in California. Beverly is preceded in death by her son Jim, who has waited for a happy reunion with her. She is survived by her three sons
Tom (Martha) Gourley, Bob (Elizabeth) Freitas, Don Freitas, six grandchildren, and numerous great-grandchildren.
Beverly was born and raised in Salt Lake City and spent most of her adult life in Northern California. She had family and lifetime friends in both locations.
Beverly worked at JCPenney and was a top jewelry saleswoman for many years. She was quick to make a joke, and was always mindful of ways to make those around her happy. She had a special concern for others, especially her sons. She was a bird-lover who spent many hours feeding and observing birds in her garden. She enjoyed other pets as well, most recently her cat named “Kitty.” Beverly was also an avid bridge player and dedicated friend to those in her bridge club. She enjoyed traveling, camping, and spending time with her family and friends.
Graveside services for both Beverly Ogan and John “Jim” Gourley will be held at the Mountainview Cemetery in Oakland, California on Monday, April 10th at 11:30 am.
