Bettye Lee Best's Obituary
Bettye Lee Best, a beloved mother and cherished grandmother and great-grandmother, was born on July 25, 1926 in East New Market, MD and passed away peacefully in Oakland, CA on March 4, 2025 at the beautiful young age of 98.
Bettye was known for loving her Eastern roots of making and eating crab cakes as well as her unwavering strength and love for her family.
She is survived by her loving husband , Seaphus, her daughters, Dayne, Penelope (Robert) and Bettye. Her granddaughters, Tamiko (Guy), Jade (Abraham), Nicole and Brandi. Her great-grandchildren - Jianna, Joshua and Liam. She leaves to cherish her brother, Allen Sampson (Edgewater, MD) and a host of nieces and nephews.
A private memorial will be held on (date).
