With love in our hearts, we honor the life of Betty a devoted mother, cherished sister, and a beautiful soul who radiated kindness wherever she went.

Betty lived by the values of compassion, acceptance, and spiritual grace. She understood people deeply — without judgment — and made everyone feel seen and valued. Her greatest joy was her only daughter, Penny — lovingly calling her “Precious,” because she was truly a miracle. Betty nurtured her life with encouragement, strength, and unwavering devotion, embracing every moment of motherhood with gratitude and love.

To her family, Betty was a source of peace — especially to me, her brother. We shared a unique and sacred bond rooted in spirituality and a shared belief in the goodness of all people. We could talk for hours about life, faith, and supporting one another through difficult or uncertain times. We lifted each other’s spirits, feeding one another with love, hope, and understanding. She honored me by recognizing how deeply I love our entire family — and she always appreciated the way I tried to keep everyone connected and uplifted. We celebrated our family together, encouraging love and togetherness in every season of life.

This picture of Mom and her sisters with Grandma Teeny was on her dresser. There is a closeness that they all shared no matter the distance, and a true joy when they were together. I am so grateful for the gift of family, of kindness, and of love that they all shred with us.

Still hard to believe you are actually gone.

You had the biggest heart ever and were always there for everybody, family and friends. My children and even my Grandchildren…all of us. I know I speak for anybody that knew you, you had the best hugs ever and you will be greatly missed!

You were 13 when we met for the first time. You held me in the car as my mother (your sister) brought me (a newborn) home from the hospital. I will always remember you telling me you fell in love with me, staring into my big blue eyes on that first day we met. These eyes, that cry now and every time I think of you.

There are so many memories. Where do I start?

I remember being introduced to the church at a young age by you. So very thankful for that.

I remember you taking all of us kids to the park for picnics or the beach after church and then A&W afterwards. So fun.

I remember the birthday parties. You loved to celebrate us, letting us know how important we were.

I remember the hair curling and dying sessions with Grandma and your sisters when I was young and we all lived together. You were very patient with me doing those pin curls in my hair, on Saturday nights before Church.

I remember you coming over on the weekends to try on my mother’s clothes.

Tons of memories in my head that I hope I never forget.

You had such a big heart and family was very important to you. I will always be grateful for you taking me in when I needed help. I know it was not easy, we went through a lot! I am also happy I was able to tell you that while you were still alive. You were such a blessing! Always have been and always will be.

I love you with all my heart Betty and I miss our chats and your hugs. It meant so much to me and you always had the best memory and could share stories like no other. Two days before you passed, I had the urge to call you but got busy and forgot. I’m sorry. I will always regret that. I want to hear your voice again. Is that selfish of me? I really, really miss you!

You have taught me so much in life but I still have many questions. I know you are in a better place now and are with your sisters and Mother dancing away.

We have been blessed to have you in our lives. You were an angel here on earth and now our guardian angel.

I love you Betty and always will. Rest in peace, in God’s arms!!

When I was just a little bitty girl!!! My Auntie Betty got on her knees with me and she taught me how to Pray...My Aunt Betty was such an inspiration in my life my whole life...She will be Greatly missed by all who knew her...But never forgotten...I will hold her memorized in my Heart forever...I Love You Aunt Betty...Fly high with the Angels 😇❤️
