Betty M. Frederickson's Obituary
Betty M. Frederickson, age 90, passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 5, 2015, at her home in Moraga, CA. Betty was an extraordinarily selfless, kind, loving mother, grandparent and friend to all. She was born August 29, 1925, in Oakland, CA to Herbert and Marie Kratz. She was a 1944 graduate of Oakland High School and attended the California College of Arts and Crafts. She married George W. Frederickson on March 23, 1946, in Piedmont, CA. She was a proud wife, mother and homemaker, displaying a wonderful knack for guiding a family. Betty truly lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures; chatting with friends and family, snacking, and spending time with her friends and donated time as a volunteer for local charities. Betty had an uncanny ability to reach people in a deep and positive way. Betty positively influenced and enriched the lives of her daughter, Janice Heraty of Ukiah, CA, son, Don (Janet) Frederickson of Pasadena ,CA, grandchildren Audrey, Jennifer, Brad, Jana, Danny, great grandchildren Austin, Sammy, Jaydon and Blake. Betty joins her husband, George and beloved canine companion, Shay in heaven. A private internment ceremony will be held at the Chapel of the Chimes in Oakland, CA where Betty will be reunited with George. In lieu of flowers, family, friends, and others whose lives Betty touched are invited to contribute to the Children’s Home Society of California.
