Betty Jean Ferrari's Obituary
Betty Jean Ferrari was born on October 15, 1924 in Oakland, California. She grew up in Oakland and moved to Contra Costa County in 1960. Most recently she resided in her cosy home in Martinez surrounded by teapots, quilts and roses.
Betty was a mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She raised five beautiful daughters and loved her ten grand children and eleven great grand children with all her heart. She had such a warm presence and was adored by everyone that graced her path. She was giving, generous and gave off a light that everyone wanted to be a part of.
Betty enjoyed baking and cooking for her family and friends. She made sure everyone received her famous biscotti cookies during the holidays.
Betty was a crafter. She filled her time with ceramics, sewing, knitting and painting. She also loved spending time in her beautiful garden growing flowers, vegetables and tending to many fruit trees. Betty had a soft spot for animals, in particular her beloved retrievers.
Betty Jean Ferrari was a very special woman. She passed away peacefully in her home on August 30, 2018 surrounded by loved ones. She lived a long and full life filled with love and happiness. Our Mom and Grandmother will be greatly missed…and never forgotten.
