Benedicto Navarra's Obituary
Ben’s Life
Benedicto Rose Navarra, 73, of Oakland, California, was called home to the Lord on March 30, 2026, passing peacefully while surrounded by his loving family. Born on July 29, 1952, in Bacan, Banga, Aklan, Benedicto lived a life rooted in faith, guided by God’s love, and dedicated to serving others.
A devoted husband, father, and grandfather, Benedicto embodied Christ’s teachings through his humility, generosity, and compassion. His life was a quiet testimony of faith in action, always ready to lend a helping hand, support his family in the Philippines, and faithfully serve his parish community at Sacred Heart Church. He believed deeply in living a life of purpose through service, love, and devotion to God. Ben led by example, showing that a life of purpose is measured not by what one gains, but by what one gives. His legacy is one of generosity, compassion, and enduring love.
Ben will be remembered for his warm and welcoming spirit, his kindness, and his joyful sense of humor. He touched many lives with his gentle presence and unwavering faith. Above all, he cherished his family, whom he loved selflessly and was an amazing papa to his grandsons.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Solita Navarra; his children, Bernadette Navarra Yee (Elmer) and John Navarra (Julie); and his cherished grandchildren, Isaiah Yee, Isaac Yee, Caleb Navarra, and Sean Navarra. He is also survived by his siblings, Ofelia Navarra Taala and Jesus Rose Navarra.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Juan Regimen Navarra and Esmenia Rose Navarra, and his siblings Erlina Navarra Rebustes, Wenefreda Navarra Navarro, Edito Rose Navarra, and Bonito Rose Navarra.
Though we mourn his passing, we take comfort in God’s promise of eternal life and trust that he now rests in the loving embrace of our Lord. His legacy of faith, love, and service will continue to inspire all who knew him. He will be deeply missed and forever held in our hearts.
