Barbara Marcella Clark's Obituary
In loving memory, we celebrate the life of our dear sister, mother, grandmother and friend Barbara Marcella Williams. Barbara was born January 14th 1935, to Oscar Williams and Mary Davis; Barbara was the fifth of ten children, preceded by her brothers Otris Lee, Benny Mathew, Dalton McAfee and her sister Evelyn Ruth, and followed by her brothers Frank and Charles who died shortly after birth, then followed by her brothers Herbert Oscar Grant, Harold Melvin and Christopher Tewan.
Barbara grew up in West Oakland where she attended Prescott Elementary School, then went on to Elmhurst Junior high and graduated from Technical High School. Two years later Barbara received her Nursing license from Hayward-Fairmont School of Vocational Nursing. Barbara graduated from San Francisco State University where she received her Master’s Degree, and there after became a registered Hypnotherapist before receiving her PhD in Counseling Psychology from Newport University. Barbara met her husband Fred Clark at a roller skating rink and they were married in 1958.
Barbara will be greatly missed by us all who have shared with her laughter, smiles and tears throughout the years, and although she has passed from this physical realm, she will always remain with us in our hearts. Her feisty spirit, strong determined will and straight forward words will always be remembered.
Barbara is survived by her children, Kevin Allen Clark and Kim Christine Clark; her Grandchildren, Dominika Rei Anderson, Adrien Eugene Godbold and Aaron Xavier Godbold who called her Cella; and her Great Grandchildren, Ma’atia Kheperei Sekhem Merett Anderson, Djamet Iredei Annis and Djedefra Isheda Annis, who called her Gran Gran.
