My mom was a lively quick witted woman living her life to the fullest. We traveled the world and explored the universe together. She taught me to treat everyone with respect and good humor. She always had 2 jobs and reminded me ofter what her father said to her about a job "Never think you can't be replaced, there are people lined up to take your place". She was the Teamster Shop Steward and president of the credit union when she retired from Mothers Cakes and Cookies. In retirement she taught computer skills to seniors (and me) and was director of the race walking association. Her home office walls are covered with race bibs and medals. Nothing slowed her down until she was diagnosed with MDS in June 2012. Even then she was determined to keep up her pace with social events, baseball games, Tahoe gambling and the theatre.
