Arnold Joseph Torres Jr.'s Obituary
Arnold Joseph Torres Jr. was born to Arnold J. Torres Sr and Yvette Torres on April 12, 1993, in Oakland, California. He grew up in a family that valued keeping a strong bond and spending time together. He is a member of the Salt River Pima Maricopa Indian Community and grew up in the Bay Area where he was an active member of many comminutes, that included Bay Area Native American Community, Shiloh Christian Fellowship and Jingle Town neighborhood. He is well loved by all. He is a graduate of Hintil Kuu Ca in Oakland and Lincoln High School in San Leandro, California. He worked at MEK Enterprises as a furniture installer.
Arnold was a loyal and respectful person with a playful personality who loved to joke and prank his family and friends. He loved spending time with his nephews and nieces and ensured they participated in positive activities. He had a passion to work with children. He worked at Roosevelt Elementary School in San Leandro as a coach, where he was lovingly called “Coach Arnold” by the children.
Arnold is survived by his mother Yvette Torres, father Arnold Torres, siblings Dacia Loureiro, Andrew Torres, Christian Loureiro, Enrique Loureiro and Dreona Baker of Oakland California; his nephews and nieces Julian, Isabela, Ivan, Cristhina, Elizabeth, Emma and Jayden and many uncles, aunts and cousins.
Arnold’s body will be buried in a ceremony at Mountain View Cemetery in Oakland on September 20, 2018. A viewing will take place on September 19th at 3:00 p.m. at Chapel of the Chimes, 4499 Piedmont Avenue, Oakland, California 94611. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Arnold’s “Lil Arn’s” life.
