I have known Arnie since our days at S.F. State College … in 1965. We became good friends when we both started UCSF School of Pharmacy in 1967. I got him an intern job with me at Mt Zion Hospital pharmacy. We learned a great deal and became really good pharmacists learning together. I could always depend on Arnie to be supportive, insightful, kind and a good human being. I mourn with Jean and the Family deeply and with all of those who loved and cared for Arnie. Then the most important phase comes as each of us grieve in our own way for this tremendous loss. Grieve deeply and take all the time you require …for it is where one discovers the impermanence of life and the many joys and sorrows that fade in and out of it. Life is strong and is always trying to renew itself. The deepening meaning of our own existence is revealed and there you understand that death is the end of a life but not the end of a relationship. I am blessed to have Arnie in my life. I will ultimately have many fond memories and an abundant amount of joy as thoughts of Arnie continue to dance across my thoughts.Bob Masuda….
