Armenta Josephine Shaw, 90, of Berkeley, CA, passed away April 1st, 2018. She was born in Leavenworth, Kansas on November 11th, 1927. Armenta Brown graduated from Leavenworth Senior High. She was married to William Howard Shaw Sr. on November 27th, 1949. Armenta worked in Education for the Berkeley Unified School District. She had a passion for gardening, writing poetry, and being a community activist. She was survived by Karen Baker, Thoette Shaw-Moore (Arthur), William Shaw Jr., Yvette Shaw, Viola Edwards (Cyril), Stephanie Shaw Perry, Stewart Shaw, Felecia Shaw, 15 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, Brother Leroy Brown, and Sisters Ione Hicks and Glenda Wilson.
