Ariana Renee Robinson's Obituary
Ariana Renee Robinson was born at Alta Bates Hospital in Berkeley, CA on September 21, 1992 to her parents Taisha Gatlin-Newman and William Robinson III.
Ariana accepted Christ at the early age of 12. She was baptized at Grace Bible Fellowship Church in Antioch, CA. Ariana would often carry a bible with her, she would read scriptures and study the word of God. She received her education through Berkeley American Canyon and Brentwood School Districts and continues her education at Berkeley Adult School.
As a baby Ariana earned the nickname “Bam Bam” for her strong personality and busy behavior. Later her family and friends would affectionately call her “Ari”. Ari loved her family, she enjoyed spending time with them, she was very lovable but make no mistake she didn’t take any mess, she carried her own weight. She would protect loved ones, she was fearless and didn’t mind showing up and showing out if need be.
In later years Ariana met her life partner Edward Hawkins who loved her dearly. In Edward’s eyes she could do no wrong and even if she did he was right there by her side through thick and thin.
Ariana enjoyed cooking, listening to R&B music, singing, and dancing. She aspired to be a chef and a coast guard. As a young child she was a cheerleader for the Berkeley cougars and a majorette at American Canyon Middle School.
Ariana held various jobs but of all jobs that she held, what she loved and enjoyed most was being a Mom to her only child, daughter Maya Hawkins-Owens. Having a child changed her life forever. She loved spending time with her daughter, hanging out, playing games and just talking. She was proud of her daughter and loved to brag about all of the accomplishments and achievements. She once posted on Facebook “Maya on my mind today, every day, forever and forever I love her”. She loved her daughter dearly and it showed.
Ariana “Ari” Robinson was a loving mother, daughter, sister, niece, cousin and friend. Ariana will forever be missed but will live in all our hearts and memories forever.
