Anita Estelle Lynch's Obituary
Anita "Sampaguita" Estelle Lynch was born on October 15th, 1974 in Milton, Florida, to
Carolyn Tukay and Peter “Alex” Rubang. Her formative years were spent in Florida and
Alabama. She was then raised by her mother and step-father, Henry Tukay, in the San
Francisco Bay Area where she completed her secondary schooling and college. She
resided in Oakland and Alameda the remainder of her years.
Anita was a loving Partner, a mother of 3, and a grandmother of 2. She had a passion for
child development, construction, and business. She graduated from Cypress Mandela and
became a professional Glazier, and even installed the windows on the Federal building in
San Francisco. In 2019, she graduated from Laurus College with a Degree in Professional
Business Systems. Anita was also a devoted caregiver to senior citizens and children. For
the past several years, she took care of her aunt Pauline, her mother Carolyn, and became
the primary childcare for her grandchildren. Anita was influential to many children in her
family and community. Besides raising her own daughters, she helped raise and care for
generations of children throughout her life. She was a Mother to many, and “Auntie Sam” to
most. She always offered a home to kids in need, a plate of food for those who were
hungry, and a helping hand to whoever asked. She was so loved by all who knew her, and
respected in her community. She was the voice of reason against injustice, and protector
of innocence; particularly children and animals. Anita made everyone feel safe and was a
reliable shoulder to lean on - she had the biggest heart. She passionately motivated family
and friends to pursue their dreams, and to believe in the Lord and Savior. She was the one
person you could call and knew she would be there without hesitation. No matter what. No
matter where. Anita had limitless talent that included: gardening, crafting, sewing, and
automotive, to name a few. She was very skilled with her hands and could build anything,
or fix anything. She was Wonder Woman. Anita never let anyone go without a hug or an “I
love you”, and she imprinted in our minds to always say “I love you”, before getting off the
phone with a loved one. She enjoyed game nights with her family, watching movies,
dancing, playing pranks, joking, and country music. Her proudest accomplishments were
her daughters and her grandchildren. No words will ever be able to express how amazing
she was, and no amount of time will allow anyone to forget the force of nature she was and
is to so many people. She will be deeply missed, and she sparked her love and good will into
all of us.
