“To my most beloved friend on her journey home““Iniibig kita” Anita, I have been blessed to have had known you for 34 years. You have truly touched my heart during your short time here on Earth. And you can be sure that many attending your service this morning feel the same way too. We started off as coworkers in 1984, then friends, advancing to lovers for 5 years and back to friends again. Back in the day our relationship was called a “May December” romance. But it’s 2018 now so we can update it to “Romance 2.0”. You are an 80 year old Cougar and I’m a 54 year old Cub and we both grew from that friendship. We could talk for hours without getting bored and you always kept me laughing with your charm. In the hood we called it “Game”. Anita, you had mad game little lady and a huge heart. You trusted me with your most prized possessions, that being of your family. I grew to love your daughter Toinette, your mom Leonora, uncle Demetrio and granddaughters Stephanie and Ashley as if they were my very own. You even allowed me to create your uncle’s funeral program when he passed. Toinette, I’ve never been a religious or spiritual man so when you called to inform me of Anita’s passing I was in shock for two reasons. One was the news of her passing and two the date. I had a dream the day after she passed and it seemed so real. We were laughing and having a discussion that we had many years ago in her home. I hope that was her way of letting me know that she was ok now. I can’t explain it but it makes me feel warm inside.“Mahal kita” Toinette, Stephanie and Ashley. Joel, I know that you’ll be the rock that you are to see the family through these trying times. I’ve always had much respect for you, your parents and the entire Adamos family.
