ANDREW ALEXANDER MANN entered into eternal rest on July 29, 2004. Andy was born January 22, 1927 in Eger and fled Hungary 2 months before the Nazis came into his hometown.He was a WWII veteran who in the Navy from 1941 to 1948 aboard the USS Hector in China.He was a fantastic hairdresser and platform artist for 50 years and will be missed by all whose life he touched. He was an intelligent, well read, free-thinking with a wonderful sense of humor.He leaves behind to cherish his memories his wife of 38 years Diane, daughter Vicki Hughes (Paul), grandfather of Shawn and Mother-in-law of Esther Alexander.In lieu of flowers contribution in his name to your favorite charity are requested by the family.Family and friends are invited to attend services on Monday, August 2, at 10:00am in the Julia Morgan Chapel at Chapel of the Chimes, 4499 Piedmont Avenue in Oakland, CA.
