Andrew C. Ng's Obituary
Andrew C. Ng, 74, passed away peacefully on March 9th, 2017, at Kaiser South San Francisco with his family by his side. He will be sorely missed by all who knew him.
Andrew was born May 21st, 1942, in Taishan in the Guangdong Province of China to Kwong Lum Eng and Lai Ping Eng.
Andrew received his cooking certificate at the American Cooks School and worked as a cook in San Francisco. Later, he became a baker at SvenHard’s where he was employed for 25 years until his retirement. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, gardening, watching sports, going to the gym, and traveling. Andrew was loved by everyone for his kindness, generous spirit, and selflessness.
He is survived by his children, Alvin, Nina, and Nara and their spouses; his grandchildren, Kylie, Alexa, and Jaylen; his brothers, Don and Rex and their wives; his sister, Cynthia and her husband; his nieces and nephews; and many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Kwong Lum and Lai Ping Eng.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00am on Thursday, March 16th, 2017 at Chapel of the Chimes, 4449 Piedmont Avenue, Oakland, CA 94611 followed by a longevity meal at Peony Restaurant, 388 9th St,
Ste 288, Oakland, CA 94607 at 1:30pm.
