Born Jarkarta, Indonesia. Resident of Oakland, CA. Preceded in death by her loving husband, Ysbrand Tinkelenberg. Beloved mother of Margaret Kolb, Gerhard Tinkelenberg, Bart TInkelenberg. Loving grandmother of 7 and great-grandmother of 8. Member of St. Leo’s Catholic Church, Oakland, CA.
Alice will be remembered for her ribald sense of humor and strength. She had the ability to provide the comforts of her homeland through her cooking. Alice was a survivor of cancer twice which never slowed her down. She was a woman on a mission when it came to living. She was a huge lover of dogs, and for years had a chompanion named “Tanya.” She cherished being with her children and always encouraged the family bond. In turn, the family will lovingly keep her memory in our hearts.
