Maruyama, Alice's Obituary
Alice Maruyama, 96, passed away on December 10, 2024, in Merced, California. She was born in Salinas, California, and later pursued her education at Bridgeton High School in New Jersey before earning a Bachelor of Arts degree from Hunter College in New York.
On November 23, 1950, Alice married M. Michael Maruyama, with whom she built a life filled with love and dedication. She worked as a personal assistant for the VA Regional Office in San Francisco, California, where she contributed her skills and commitment to serving others.
Alice had a deep passion for reading, which brought her great joy throughout her life.
She is survived by her children, Janice Naewboonnien and husband Nundhavid of Bangkok, Thailand, and Denis Maruyama and wife Nancy of Merced, California; her grandchildren Michael Maruyama of Merced, California; Brian Maruyama of Redwood, California; Nundhivad and wife Rapeepan Naewboonnien, Nopanund Naewboonnien, and Nundmanas Naewboonnien, all of Bangkok, Thailand; and her great-grandchildren Nellie and Nina Naewboonnien of Bankok, Thailand.
Alice’s memory will be cherished by those who knew and loved her.
