Albert William Habiger's Obituary
Albert W. Habiger Jan. 18, 1929 – Jan. 29, 2011 Resident of Oakland Al was born in Oakland, CA, and went to Oakland schools. Joined Merchant Marines during the World War, as he was too young for the regular services. He also served in Korea in the Army. He was a journeyman machinist, then went to work for CLOROX in the Corporate Engineering Dept. He was with Clorox for 20 years before he retired, visiting many countries designing and installing bleach bottling lines. He then started his own business, Habco Machining until 2006 when he sold his machines and retired for good. He was married twice and had 2 children from his first marriage, Ron and Linda. He was then married for 51 years to Carol. They had two boys, Tim and Robert who are married with children. He had 9 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Al passed away peacefully at home in his sleep but did suffer from Alzheimers and bladder cancer. Services will be held Friday, February 4th at 1:00 pm at The Chapel of the Chimes, Oakland.
