Alan James SCHARER Our Father, Alan J. Scharer passed away on May 6th, after a long battle with diabetes. Born in 1942 in Seattle, WA and raised on Alki Beach to parents, mother Jane Webb and father, Milton Scharer, where we will join them in heaven. Alan is survived by his loving and caring wife of 36 years, Patricia Hsuing Scharer; four sons, Christopher Alan, Eric Stephen, Fritz Thomas, Kurt Andrew (Marya); four grandsons, Mario Miguel (Pizza), Avery Roberto, Artez Tomas (Zina), Armon Montante (Anita); and two great-grandchildren, Moya Bobbie Madison (Sheila), Santana Jordan (Jennifer), all of Seattle. Our father loved the simple things in life, cup of coffee in the morning, newspaper and a cigarette. He had a vegetable garden he tended to and several pets, dogs and cats. Throughout his life he was an accomplished Hunter, Championship Soccer Coach, Chef and Restaurant Manager and Welder by trade. Despite his many illnesses, our father never let it stop him from living his life.
