Adeline Pastores' Obituary
Our mother, Adeline Pastores was born in Natividad, Pangasinan, Philippines on August 4, 1928 to Sylvestre and Bienvinida DeLeon. She was the eldest of eight siblings: the late Carmelita, Rosario, the late Recto, the late Aida, Sylvestre Jr., Arturo and Roger.
In 1950, Adeline earned her Bachelor of Science in Education from the Philippine Women's University, Manila. She taught high school in Zambales, going on to teach at Natividad Oriental Academy and a private tutor in Manila. She taught English to many students and to this day she's been complimented on her tutelage.
Adeline met the love of her life, Ramon Baula Pastores, a WWII Veteran. On January 23, 1960 they joined together in holy matrimony and moved to the USA the same year. They raised two daughters, Raline and Christine. Sadly, after 25 years of marriage, Ramon passed on August 30, 1985.
Adeline worked at the Oakland Main Post Office for 35 years. She received various employee recognitions. She was an avid "green thumb" who passionately tended to her garden with various plants and fruit trees. She enjoyed cooking and hosting family gatherings, as well as attending parish functions with priests and parishioners. Our mother had a stellar public speaking voice which captured the audience. She once served as an executive officer and board of directors of the Natividad Association of USA. Adeline built a strong and loving foundation, while instilling her Catholic morals. She served as an eucharistic minister at St. Mary Church since 1960, then continued at the Cathedral of Christ the Light.
Aftert being a widowfor 10 years, Adeline met Michael Bradley, a Vietnam Marine Veteran and retired US Postal Supervisor, who was her long time partner. Michael passed on April 18, 2024
Adeline was always remembered for her photogenic smile and her fashionista style in all venues and occasions. She is now resting in peace with our Lord without worries and pain. We will miss her everyday for as long as we live.
