Adalgisa Maria Maiolini's Obituary
Adalgisa Maria Maiolini January 20, l911 – November 14, 2012Adalgisa Maria Maiolini, 101 years, passed away peacefully at her home in Oakland. She was born in San Pelino, Italy, the second oldest of seven children of Anna Maria and Antonio DiPasquale. She immigrated to the United States in 1938 after marrying Mario Maiolini in Italy. She was preceded in death by her husband, Mario, and is survived by her beloved children Ezio and Anna Maiolini. She also leaves a large extended family of nieces, nephews and cousins in Italy, whom she visited often, as well as nieces and nephews in the Bay Area. She enjoyed time with her family, gardening in her backyard and took great pleasure in preparing amazing Italian food which she loved to share with friends and family. She was a member of St. Theresa’s guild and ICF Branch #223. She now rests in peace with her creator in heaven. The family would like to thank Donna Fernandes for the loving care and friendship she gave Adalgisa. A Viewing will held at 10:30am, followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:00am on Monday, November 19, at St. Albert’s Priory Chapel, 6172 Chabot Road, Oakland. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the charity of your choice.
