Dennis M. O'Neill

August 4, 1951 - March 25, 2022

Dennis M. O’Neill, age 70, passed away on March 25, 2022 at his home in Oakland, CA. He was born in Wauseon, OH on August 4, 1951 to Isadore O’Neill and Merlin (Graber) O’Neill. Dennis was a graduate of Delta High School. And in the early 80’s moved to San Leandro, CA. Dennis worked for several years in maintenance work and was an all around handyman. At one time, in addition to his regular job, he maintained a large vegetable garden & strawberry patch for the company he worked for. Dennis enjoyed spending time dabbling with computers and technology. He also loved to fish and ride bike, but it was his garden that he was so proud of. On his small apartment balcony, he would grow tomatoes, strawberries and all kinds of peppers. Dennis always cooked for himself and often shared with his neighbors. His favorite drink was brewed ice tea, just like his mom made when growing up. Dennis is survived by his children Jaime O’Neill Brown of Arkansas, and Patrick O’Neill of Oakland, CA.; 3 granddaughters Nicole, Chloe, and Charity of Arkansas; sisters Patricia Ortiz of Illinois, Kathleen (Wesley) Moll of Wauseon, OH; and brother Daniel (Gina) O’Neill Sr. of Delta, OH; and several nieces and nephews. Dennis was preceded in death by his father Isadore and most recently by his beloved mother Merlin.
