Al was one of the true geniuses in our 1965 engineering physics class at Cornell University. One semester he decided to study especially diligently to see if he could hit the stratosphere of a grade point average in the 90’s (maximum 100). To put things in perspective, earning a four-year average of 85 got you graduated with highest honors. He succeeded, getting something like a 93 that semester. He was my best friend in EP and I was shocked to read of his passing. Rest in peace, Al.

I miss you everyday, all I have are memories. Shine a light on my memories.

Even though one year have gone by since you left, the ache of missing you is still very real, and my heart still feels the emptiness of your absence.

While visiting Oakland from Portland, Oregon, I was with my friend Ann-Ellice when we took several city buses to see the Chapel of the Chimes last Thursday. You were walking down a flight of stairs as we were approaching them, and she wished you a happy holiday. Arriving at the upper level, I sat on the bench where you had been sitting, and found the photo of you and Allen…. and through a political button in that glass case, I came to learn about Energy Democracy. Your visit was a blessing for me as well as your beloved husband. With a hand over my heart, I thank you both.
I miss you, your voice and your smile
